BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – You could say a trend is starting to develop with Lee women’s basketball talented point guard Haley Schubert.
 
The native of Knoxville, Tenn. has claimed her fifth Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week honor the league office announced on Tuesday.
 
Schubert scored 18 points in a win at Trevecca Nazarene on Dec. 31 and added 12 points in a pair of GSC road victories at No. 1 Union and Christian Brothers last weekend.
 
Schubert is averaging 10.9 points per game and 2.8 steals per contest to help lead the Lady Flames to an 11-3 mark and a 5-1 record in conference play.
 
The Lady Flames will return this week to host West Georgia on Thursday (6 p.m.) and Alabama Huntsville on Saturday (2 p.m.).
