PAULA MARTINS was presented the volleyball award for the second time this season. The junior middle blocker from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil stepped up to pace the Lady Flames to SSAC wins over Truett McConnell (3-0), Southern Wesleyan (3-1) and Emmanuel (3-1).

The Lady Flames are 12-6 overall and ranked No. 6 by the NAIA. This past week Martins registered 35 kills, 14 digs, three aces and 10 blocks. She owned a remarkable .520 hitting percentage and for the season has 181 kills in 300 attempts (.400 percentage).

The Lady Flames return home on Friday and will host Brenau University in a SSAC match slated for 7 p.m.
