Lee University women's soccer player Leah Fortune has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida).

The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Fortune is a Public Relations Major and carries a 3.93 GPA into her senior year.

The Orlando, Fla. native has also been a leader on the field for the Lady Flames. Fortune has recorded nine goals and eight assists to lead Lee to a second-place finish (11-3-1, 8-1-1) in its first season of Gulf South Conference competition.

Fortune and the Lady Flames will wrap up the regular season with a matchup against Cumberland University Monday, Nov. 4 before preparing for postseason play in the National Christian College Athletic Association beginning on Nov. 22.
