Lee University softball pitcher Annabeth Pruett has been named the National Christian College Athletic Association Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 10-16.

Pruett pitched in both games of a doubleheader split with Union University last Sunday afternoon for the Lee softball team. In game one she worked 3 2/3 innings of relief and surrendered just one run on one hit while striking out five as the Lady Flames fell to the Bulldogs, 7-5.

Pruett would start in the circle in game two for Lee and pitched a complete game (seven innings) allowing just one earned run on four hits to lead the Lady Flames to a 7-2 victory over Union. The freshman is 2-1 on the season.

Pruett is a Pre-med major from Colbert, Ga.
