Terris Elliott has been named Lee University's Male Athlete of the Week after a pair of top six finishes at the Shorter Relays in Rome, Ga. this past weekend.
Elliott finished sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:59.78. The junior from Detroit, Mich. followed that up with a fourth place finish in the 1500 meter (4:00.65) . Elliott was joined by four other teammates in the top fifteen as Lee was well represented in the 1500 meter run.
The highlight of the day for the men's team was the 1500 meter run, where we saw five Lee runners place in the top fifteen overall," said Head Coach Caleb Morgan. "That really says a lot to me about the depth of our program and the way our training has been going."
Elliott and the Flames will now gear up for the Sea Ray Relays hosted by the University of Tennessee. The two-day event begins Apr. 11 in Knoxville.
