Amanda Lynn has been named Lee University's Female Athlete of the Week after a sizzling week at the plate for the Lee softball team.

Lynn started the week by going a perfect 8-for-8 in the Lady Flames' doubleheader sweep of Young Harris College. The sophomore scored eight runs, stole four bases and drove in five runs to guide Lee to a pair of run-rule victories (11-3, 14-6).

The Lee leadoff hitter continued to swing the bat over the week as the Lady Flames battle Gulf South Conference rival Delta State in a three-game series. Lynn went 5-for-11 over the weekend with two steals, two run scored and a pair of RBI. Lee took the opener on Friday before dropping a pair of games to the Mississippi club on Saturday.

The Susanville, Calif. native is hitting at a .438 clip on the year trailing only senior slugger Ana Coscorrosa (.486) for the team lead. Lynn is also a perfect 21-for-21 in stolen bases and leads the team with 42 runs scored.

Lynn and the Lady Flames will gear up next for a three-game conference tilt with the University of North Alabama beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday at 2 p.m.
