Lee University goalkeeper Tom Halsall has been named Lee University's Male Athlete of the Week.

A week removed from winning NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week honors, the junior from Southport, England had four saves as the Flames fell to Tennessee Wesleyan 1-0 in overtime. 

Halsall has given up just six goals in six matches while recording 27 saves on the year.  "I’ve constantly said that Tommy has all of the tools to be a very special goalkeeper," said head coach Paul Furey. "His size, technical ability and experience should make him very noticeable.  It has been a treat to have him."

The Flames (3-2-1) will be back in action on Thursday as they host NCCAA Mid-East region rival Campbellsville at 7 p.m. Lee will conclude the non-conference portion of the schedule on Saturday as they welcome Shawnee State to the Lee Soccer Field for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
