ATLANTA, Ga. - Emory University, a NCAA Division III volleyball power handed the Lee women a 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-19) defeat on Tuesday evening. The Eagles improved to 22-1 with the win and Lee dropped to 6-5.

Paula Martins had 12 kills, three blocks and a couple of aces in the losing effort. Patty Orozco countered with eight kills. Latrice Johnson added seven and Lauren Williams six. Becky Bourne dished off 23 assists.

Libby Peigen was the dig leader with 10. Deborah Magalhhaes added eight and Bourne and Johnson six apiece.

Leah Jacobs paced the Emory balanced net attack with 10 kills. Sydney Miles had 32 assists and Taylor Erwin 15 digs.

The Lady Flames will return to Walker Arena for Friday and Saturday matches. They will host Alabama-Huntsville on Friday at 7 and entertain North Alabama on Saturday at 2.
