March continued to hold up its tradition of "Coming In Like A Lion" and that was certainly the case on Tuesday afternoon in the final round of the Lee Spring Invitational being played at the Cleveland Country Club.

The first of two storms delayed play for some 45 minutes and then after the 14 teams returned to the links a strong thunderstorm moved into the area and forced play to be suspended for the entire day.

All scores reverted back to Monday's round and the Lee Flames, a two-stroke leader after day one, were officially declared the winner and freshman Taylor Davis claimed the medalist honors. Davis won by one stroke over Cumberlands' Matt Walton (69). Coastal's Dylan Freeman and Trevecca's Logan Martin tied for third (70). Cumberlands' Niclas Rigbrandt (71) finished in fifth place.

Davis posted a 4-under 68 and helped the Flames record a 2-over par total of 288, edging out the University of the Cumberlands (290) and Coastal Georgia (294).

While Davis was placing first. Hunter Vest and JB Eksteen tied for ninth with 1-over 73s and Peyton Sigler finished tied for 12th at 2-over 74. Matt Emery tallied a 75 and was 18th in the field. Maupin used four other players in the individual competition. Florian Loutre tied for 12th with a 74. Tyler Smith had a 77 and was 28th, while Scott Murray turned in an 81 and Zack Lawson an 83.

Lindsey-Wilson (300), Tennessee Wesleyan (301) and Trevecca Nazarene (308) rounded out the top six in the team standing.
