Over the years Lee University head coach Mark Brew and his staff has helped develop their share of outstanding baseball talent. Several have earned a shot at playing professional baseball and nine former Flames continue to climb up the minor-league ladder toward the majors.
 
"We have some guys having great summers throughout minor league baseball," said Brew after releasing a recent report on his ex-players. "With nine current minor leaguers and several still in independent unaffiliated ball, it is great to see them progress through various systems.  Several of these players are knocking on the door of a promotion to the next level and we wish them all the best as they chase their dreams."
