VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Lee men's basketball team came up just short in a 68-66 non-conference loss to Palm Beach Atlantic in the Valdosta State Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday afternoon.

A day after winning in overtime to Coastal Georgia the Flames came up a shot short against the Sailfish despite a 21-point effort from CJ Reese. Jervon Johnson added 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting from 3-point range.

Reese converted a lay-up with six seconds left to cut the deficit to two, but the Sailfish were able to in-bound the basketball and get to the foul line to preserve the advantage.

Palm Beach Atlantic (3-3) out-rebounded the Flames (2-3), 42-39. Lee would shoot 54.3 percent from the field and limited the Sailfish to 32.9 percent shooting. 
Keevin Tyus added seven points and nine rebounds. Chase Cullen recorded eight markers and seven boards for the Flames.

Barkari Warthen led Palm Beach Atlantic with 13 points. Derick Yepes added 12 points and eight rebounds. Milos Kostic registered 12 points on 3-of-4 shooting from behind the arc.

Lee will be back in action on Thursday, Dec. 3 as it opens up Gulf South Conference play against Christian Brothers University.
