For just the fourth time in 34 meetings, Lee University baseball tasted defeat at the hands of Bryan College. The visiting Lions (35-14) pounded out nine hits and took advantage of nine walks and three hit batsmen to hand the Flames (25-17-1) an 8-0 defeat Tuesday evening at Olympic Field.

Luke Toms delivered two of Lee's four hits, including a double in the fourth inning for Lee's first hit. Ben Holland and Shae Durham each added a single to the total.

Chris Jeffries was the offensive leader for Bryan. Jeffries was 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a triple. He scored twice in the win.

Jacob Potts allowed five hits over five innings and was charged with the loss after surrendering one run. Potts (3-4) walked one and struck out one.
