Box Score Because of a rain forecast for Saturday morning, the Flames will push the Gulf South Conference match scheduled for 10 a.m.with 45th-ranked North Alabama to a 1 p.m. (EDT). 

The Lee University men's tennis team ran its win streak to six with a 5-0 defeat of Shorter University in a Gulf South Conference match Wednesday afternoon at the DeVos Tennis Center. The Flames improved to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in league play, while the Hawks dropped to 2-7 and 0-4 GSC.

The Flames jumped out to an early lead with Wes Lemke and Daniel Prata beating Dylan Wood and Mauricio Rancel 8-0. Rhys Milne and Igor Schattan were 8-3 winners over Jose Manuel Moreno Manzano and Talha Zubair.
Jake Okines and Boyd Blackburn gave the Flames a clean sweep of doubles competition with an 8-5 win over Patrick Sanders and Mason Barnette.

Schattan beat Sanders 6-1 and 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Teodor Deljanovski secured the team victory with a 6-1, 6-3 triumph over Zubair. The final four singles matches were unfinished.

"The guys did a good job of wrapping things up," said Lee head coach Patric Hynes. "Now we have to get ready for UNA."

The Flames host North Alabama on Saturday with the GSC match scheduled for a 10 a.m. start. The Lions are ranked No. 45 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division II men's national team ranking.
