NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lee volleyball team made quick work of an old rival on Tuesday night with a 3-0 victory at Trevecca Nazarene to secure its fourth straight victory.
The match marked the 47
th  meeting between the two clubs dating back to 1988. The Lady Flames now hold a commanding 40-7 advantage in the series with Trevecca's last win coming in Nashville on Sept. 9, 2014.
Lee scored the first four points of the match and never looked back winning all three sets by the exact same score of 25-17. The Lady Flames slammed home 35 kills on a .219 hitting percentage while limiting the Nashville Club to just 20 kills and a .000 hitting percentage.
Sophomore Quinne Daoust led the balanced attack for Lee with nine kills while junior Silvia Sartori tallied eight. Alex Reuter, a junior transfer playing her old team in the Trojans, had five slams while Hanna Matthews, who played her freshmen year with Reuter at Trevecca, came on for five assists.
Senior Sadie Johnson dished off a match-high 19 assists to go along with nine digs while MaKayla Beebe added 10 digs of her own.
"It was great to get another road win," said head coach Andrea Hudson. "We are still learning each other on the floor but getting better with each match. I'm really proud of how Alex and Mary Katherine (Givhan) played tonight in the middle and all three of our setters performed really well."
Madison Clements led the home team with five kills. Gracie Pierce had aided the defensive effort with 14 digs and Miranda Bingham recorded 10.
The Lady Flames improve to 4-1 overall while the Trojans fall to 2-3.
After five straight matches away from home the Lady Flames will finally return to the Sport Court in Walker Arena for the 2017 home opener on Monday, Sept. 11 against Division III powerhouse Emory University at 7 p.m.
