MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Lee Men's Soccer team travels to Montgomery, Ala. to battle the top seeded Spring Hill Badgers in the Gulf South Conference Tournament Semifinals tonight at 8:30 p.m.

The Series
The Flames hold a 6-3 all-time advantage over the Badgers. Earlier this year when the two teams faced off Spring Hill won in Mobile, 2-1 in overtime. Samaan Williams opened the scoring in the 21
st minute before the Badgers hit the equalizer in the 72
nd minute. Matthew Moreno tallied the game winner in the 5
th minute of overtime off a free kick to remain unbeaten in GSC play.

Last Time Out
The Flames traveled to Memphis and defeated Christian Brothers in the quarterfinals of the GSC tournament. It was all even until Samaan Williams found the back of the net in the 66
th minute of the match to put Lee through to the next round.

Lee outshot the Buccaneers 22-8 and put seven more on target (9-2). Daniel Hrenko saved both shots on goal for the Flames.

"The guys not only were sharp in each phase of the game, as I thought we dictated most of the game, but they competed for one another, and were tuned into the small details that decide a game like that," said head coach Derek Potteiger. "We are in a good place as a group, and though we do need to take time to recover physically, we will be ready to play come Friday night."

The Lee File
Lee comes into the match 9-6-3 overall and are 2-3-1 in their last six contests.

Williams leads the Flame offense with seven goals on the year. Just behind him is Palle Jespersen with six goals. When the match is on the line Coach Potteiger's squad is balanced able to go a number of people. Jespersen, Williams, Alfie Coldron, and Owen Keck all have two game winners each.

Hrenko has played 1649:22 in goal for the Flames allowing only 16 goals in 18 matches while recording 66 saves on 180 shots faced. The junior has posted six shutouts.

Red Hot Badgers
Spring Hill comes in 15-1 overall and finished out GSC play a perfect 11-0 in the regular season. The Badgers are currently ranked 12
th in the nation and second in the region coming into the match.

Alex Lipinski leads the way for the Alabama squad with 15 goals on the season recording 34 points. Tilman Schober has recorded 14 assists thus far to go with four goals for 22 points.

Barou Ndaw and Alessandro Erdelyi have recorded 24 saves each on the defensive side. The two have split the season evenly as Erdelyi is 7-1 on the year with Ndaw recording the other seven wins. Erdelyi is responsible for three complete shutouts on the season and have a combined shutout with Jackson Hoesley.

The winner of this match will take on the winner of No. 3 seed Alabama Huntsville and No. 2 seed West Florida on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the GSC Championship.

Lee and West Florida are the only two teams that have both men and women remaining in the tournament.
