The Lee women's basketball team completed their final exhibition games before heading into regular season play next weekend by defeating Covenant College 89-31 before a Homecoming crowd on Saturday afternoon inside Walker Arena.
Â
"We did a lot of good things today," said Lee Coach Marty Rowe. "Defensively we were active and maintained that energy for most of the game. Obviously, we have to continue to improve in all areas, but this was a step in the right direction."
Â
Rowe continued, "We have grown as a team over the last week since scrimmaging Bryan and playing at Kentucky. Both of those games exposed different things that we needed to address, and this group has responded. We need to continue that mindset and crave daily improvement."
