"It was a good road win against a good team for our club. Our pitching staff was able to win some big at bats during the game. Our defense stepped up big with some timely double plays to minimize innings and our hitters got a quick start early with the three runs in the second inning," pointed out Lee coach Mark Brew. "We can turn our attention to Mississippi College now. They are one of the hottest teams in the league. It will be another tough GSC weekend."
Beamish, who finished with four hits, began a three-run rally in the top of the second inning with a homer. Colton Yeager and Landon Silver followed with singles. Luke Hughes walked to load the bases. Yeager and Silver later scored to make the tally reach 3-0.

The Mountain Lions loaded the bases in the bottom of the inning before Andy Rivera put an end to the potential rally.
