Allie, Emma and Lyssi, found their consistency and executed the game plan well on the net while Emma, Kam, and Reagan defended the score incredibly well. Reagan set a great game tonight. She read blocks and found ways to move our girls around to open up a large block. I'm excited to see how she progresses as the year goes on," said Lee head coach Callie Murphy.
The Lady Flames got off to a fast start with a 25-20 first set victory. Lee was very efficient with 16 kills and just two errors (.467).Set two was a seesaw battle that went into overtime with the Lady Flames outlasting the Thoroughbreds, 31-29. "This afternoon was a game of consistency. We limited our errors on the back line and found the floor on our attacks. I love seeing our team hit .286 and bring the heat." It was an overall team effort and I'm very happy with the result," said Murphy. "Taking a solid Kentucky State team in straight sets is exactly what we needed moving forward into conference next weekend."
