This week the basketball seasons get underway and women's soccer hopes to earn a bid to the NCAA Regionals

The Lady Flames dominated the Gulf South Conference Championship two weeks ago winning their sixth straight title. This week they head to Lakeland, Fla. to run in the NCAA South Regional.
The Lady Flames split the opening weekend. They ran away from Florida Southern 97-79 scoring 30 points in the fourth quarter. Then the next day struggled shooting the ball. They trailed most of the game before tying the game at 61. They couldn't quite get over the hump and lost 68-63. This week they will open up the season at Valdosta State on Thursday night and at West Florida on Saturday night.
Due to circumstances beyond their control, the Flames did not get to play this weekend. This week they will open up the season at Valdosta State on Thursday night and at West Florida on Saturday night.
