Lady Flames Set for NCAA South Regional

PENSACOLA, Fla.-The Lee University women's soccer team looks to bounce back in the NCAA tournament after losing the GSC Championship game to Mississippi College on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Lady Flames were the sixth and final seed to make it into the regional. Lee (12-3-5) will take on the University of West Florida in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. UWF (15-3-1) enters the NCAA Championship as the 3-seed in the South Region and will host the first and second round as 2-seed Nova Southeastern opted out to host.

UWF and Lee are 1-1 in 2022 as they head into third meeting this season. UWF won 1-0 in regular season. The Lady Flames won the rematch in the GSC Tournament semifinals 2-1. After the Argos took the lead, Kate Dirkse tied the game on a penalty kick. The Lady Flames got the game inner in teh 87th minute when Alaysia Nye scored.

The rubber match between the two teams will be on Thursday, November 10 at 1 PM in Pensacola.
