Women's Track & Field Wins Flames Invitational

Toni Moore won the 3000-Meter Steeplechase with a time of 10:35.51.
RESULTS

The Lee University women's track & field team recorded six event wins on its way to a first-place finish at the 2022 Flames Invitational held at the Ray Conn Sports Complex Thursday through Saturday. The Lady Flames amassed 108 points to finish 13 points ahead of second place Hillsdale College.

Kristen Blevins completed the 200-Meter Dash in 24.64 seconds to finish first by 0.10 seconds. Carissa Hall was fifth (25.05) and Janay Ryan finished 15th (25.58).

Celine Ritter added another event win in the 5000-Meter Run. She stopped the clock at 16:13.05 to win by 39.67 seconds. Danielle Horter had the 10th-best time of 17:07.45. Grace Adams placed 33rd (18:07.51) and Katie Krueger finished at 18:24.42 (48th). Elizabeth Beckham was 55th (18:30.80), Elizabeth Heckman was 70th (18:48.93) and Kaitlyn Sesler finished 81st (19:07.57).

Ritter was among four Lady Flames in the 800-Meter Run. Ritter crossed the finish line at 2:12.36 for third place. Liza Kellerman (2:15.02) and Aria Hawkins (2:17.46) finished sixth and seventh, respectively. Lily Hare claimed ninth with a time of 2:17.71.

Hannah Wright was the top finisher in the 100-Meter Hurdles. Her time of 14.78 seconds was 0.09 seconds ahead of second place Kylie Ray of University of Findlay. Wright (1:04.68) finished second to Ray (1:03.04) in the 400-Meter Hurdles.

Carissa Hall covered 11.67 meters to win the Triple Jump. Hall also placed third in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.57 meters. Deborah Rubin won the Hammer Throw with a mark of 47.38 meters. Austyn Durham finished eighth with a throw of 37.49 meters.

Toni Moore won the 3000-Meter Steeplechase by over 18 seconds with a time of 10:35.51. Ashlyn Iliff crossed the finish line at 11:40.60 for 11th.

Kellerman, Hawkins and Hare all finished in the top 12 of the 1500-Meter Run. Kellerman was sixth (4:40.39), Hawkins seventh (4:41.08) and Hare placed 12th (4:43.08). Iliff covered the 1500 meters in 4:58.62 for 48th.

Wright and Hall also competed in the 100-Meter Dash. Wright's time of 12.26 seconds put her in fifth. Hall was 19th (12.72).and Ryan placed 21st (12.83). Olivia McLain posted a sixth-place time of 35:38.74 in the 10000-Meter Run.

Devon Jackett tied for 12th in the High Jump with a clearance of 1.50 meters. Rubin finished fifth in the Shot Put with a mark of 11.93 meters. Durham placed 14th with a throw of 9.39 meters. In the Discus Throw, Rubin finished seventh with a toss of 32.23 meters, while Durham's measurement of 29.98 meters was good for 11th place.

Durham was joined by Sydney White in the Javelin Throw where Durham finished ninth with a stick of 27.78 meters. White recorded a throw of 26.83 meters to finish in 11th.

Liezl Theron competed in one of the seven events of the Heptathlon. She finished second in the 100-Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.60 seconds.

The Lady Flames are scheduled to return to action the weekend of April 22-23 at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
