Men's Golf Advances to National Semifinals With 4-1 Win over Barry

Oliver Lewis-Perkins celebrates after making birdie on 18 to win his quarterfinal match.
DEERBORN, Mich. - For the first time in program history the No. 3 Lee men's golf team is heading to the National Championship Semifinals after a 4-1 match play victory over No. 1 Barry on Thursday morning.

Connor Pollman delivered a decisive three stroke victory over Alvarez. Ollie Lewis-Perkins followed that up with a three stroke win over Chamorro after hitting a 30-foot putt for birdie on his 18th hole.

All-American Beck Burnette sealed the victory with a one-stroke victory over Quintero and for good measure Dustin DeMerrseman brought things home with a one stroke win over Dahl.

The Flames will now advance on to play No. 9 Georgia Southwestern starting at 1:40 p.m. on Thursday in the semifinals. The winner of that match will advance to the National Championship match on Friday morning.

Chuba will lead the Flames out followed by Pollman and Lewis-Perkins. DeMersseman will go out fourth and Burnette will anchor the lineup.
