Ritter Claims Two Top-Five Performances On The Final Day Of The NCAA DII Outdoor Championships

Lady Flames Finish Tied For 26th

Toni Moore finished 23rd in the 5000-meter run on Saturday.
FINAL RESULTS

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Celine Ritter recorded a pair of top five finishes Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Division II Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships and tallied 10 points to help the Lee University women's track & field team to finish tied for 26th. The three-day championships were held at Grand Valley State Track & Field Stadium.

Ritter began the day in the 1500-meter run where she placed third with a time of 4:18.98. Yasmine Hernandez was the winner at 4:15.72 with Adams State's Roisin Flanagan right behind at 4:15.88.

The graduate student from Roesrath, Germany turned around less than three hours later to compete in the 5000-meter run with teammate Toni Moore. Ritter stopped the clock at 16:17.33 for fifth place. Moore crossed the finish line at 17:30.30 (23rd). Brianna Robles of Adams State was first across the line at 16:07.84.

Ritter's two First Team All-American performances ran Lee's weekend total to five All-American honors. Kristen Blevins, Moore and Jeremiah McCain were each Second Team All-Americans.
