BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Eleven Lee University Student Athletes were named to the Gulf South Conference Spring All-Academic teams the league office announced on Tuesday.

Women's Lacrosse led Lee with four representatives: Kaleigh Bernard (Liberal Arts, 3.91), Dariana Blanton (Advertising, 3.71), Shayna Ryan (Public Relations and Journalism, 4.00) and Brittney White (Exercise Science, 3.97).

Women's Outdoor Track & Field and Men's Golf received two honors each. Carissa Hall (Biology Pre-PT, 3.55) and Celine Ritter (MBA, 4.00) grabbed two of the 12 spots allotted for Women's Outdoor Track & Field, while Beck Burnette (Communications, 3.88) and Connor Pollman (Business, 3.83) were two of seven selected to receive the Men's Golf honors.

Softball, Men's Tennis and Women's Golf accounted for one selection each. Taylor De Adder (Health Sciences Pre-PT, 3.59) represented Lee Softball, while Nico Ramirez (Business, 3.81) and Supuschaya Srichantamit (International Business, 4.00) earned the honor as part of Lee's Men's Tennis and Women's Golf teams, respectively.

Blanton and Ryan were among 10 All-Academic Team members in the GSC to have received their third selection. This is the second selection for White, Ritter, Burnette and Srichantamit.

All-Academic teams are voted on by the conference's Athletic Communications Directors. Athletes must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher, have spent at least one year on campus at the institution. The teams are comprised of athletes that achieved combination of both academic and athletic success this season.

Lee was one of five institutions to have 100 or more student-athletes named to the GSC Honor Roll. Montevallo led the list with 166 with Lee recording the second-most at 136 honorees. Alabama Huntsville (118), Mississippi College (106) and Shorter (101) rounded out the top five.

Athletes must maintain a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher to receive honor roll recognition. Overall, 1,198 student-athletes were acknowledged on the GSC Honor Roll list while 109 of those had a 4.00 GPA.
