MEN'S RESULTS
BOSTON – On the final day a qualifying mark could be made, the Lee University track & field teams sent a small contingent to compete in the Last Chance Indoor National Qualifier at Boston University on Sunday. The 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championship fields will be released by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28.
Titus Lagat posted the fourth-best time among NCAA Division II athletes in the 800-meter run with a Lee record time of 1:48.34. Matthew Fowler completed the 5000 in 14:02.12, the 13
th-quickest time in DII this year. Aaron Himes' 3000 mark of 8:03.63 is No. 20.
Kristen Blevins was a part of two new Lee records. She lowered her own record in the 200-meter dash from 24.62 seconds to 24.46 to finish seventh in the event. Her time met the provisional time and is No. 34 in Division II.
Blevins joined Kaia Martz, Carissa Hall and Eve Hine to win the 4x400-meter relay. Their combined time of 3:45.14 was seven seconds faster than the previous Lee standard the foursome had set two weeks ago at the GSC Championships. The relay mark is the 11
th-fastest recorded in Division II this season.
Blevins also competed in the 60-meter dash. She was fifth in the preliminary round with a time of 7.64 seconds and was seventh (7.67) in the final.
Hine finished sixth in the 400 after stopping the clock at 56.37 (No. 42). Hall covered 5.73 meters to place second in the long jump. She was 0.09 meters shy of her qualifying mark from the GSC Championsip.
Aria Hawkins ran the 1500 and mile distances and placed eighth in both. She completed the 1500 in 4:32.35 and the mile in 4:50.74 (No. 30). Megan Adams crossed the finish line of the 3000 at 9:51.52, eight seconds behind her top qualifying mark.
Doniven Jackson was sixth in the 60-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 6.947 seconds. In the final, he crossed the finish line at 7.02 for ninth. Justin Steele was seventh in the 400 after finishing at 47.99. Roberto Fajardo completed the mile run in 4:06.32. His time is No. 34 among all provisional qualifying times.
