BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-After hitting two NCAA DII provisional marks this week, Lee University track athlete Roberto Fajardo was named Gulf South Conference track athlete of the week as announced by the league on Wednesday.

Fajardo crossed the finish line of the 800-meter Run at 1:49.35 to claim second place. His time is the fourth-best reported this year. He doubled-up with another provisional time in the 1500-meter Run. He finished first in the race at 3:40.98 to claim the No. 3 time on the performance list.
