WOMEN SELECTIONS BY TEAM
INDIANAPOLIS – Nine Lee University athletes have been selected to be among the 754 participants, 377 men and 377 women, in the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week. The Flames will have seven members competing in five different events, while the Lady Flames will have two taking on one event each.
Cale Kassen leads the way with entries in the Decathlon and the 110-meter Hurdles. Justin Steele is set to take on the 400-meter Dash and will join Doniven Jackson, Nokia Masengu and Aiden Shaw in the 4x400-meter Relay.
Roberto Fajardo was chosen to be part of the field in the 1500-meter Run, while Titus Lagat will be in the 800-meter Run.
Representing the Lady Flames will be McKenna Cavanaugh in the 3000-meter Steeplechase and Aria Hawkins in the 1500.
The Championships will be held May 23-25 at Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kansas, and are being hosted by Emporia State University.
