Coach Evan Spence's Thoughts:
"It was nice to be in contention all week again this week especially in a field as competitive as this one. But truthfully, I'm really disappointed in the way we finished today coming down the stretch on the back nine. We were in a great position to make a push and put some pressure on West Florida with about nine holes to play and instead we went the other direction. Looking back at our tendencies last season, we were a team that really struggled to get out of the gate on Monday mornings but always finished well in the final round. We've put a lot of time and energy into improving our first-round scoring dating back to the postseason last year and the beginning of the semester this fall which has paid off. We've held at least a share of the lead after all 3 of the first rounds we've played this season but have just struggled to finish well to this point in the season so we'll definitely be placing some emphasis on that the next few days before we get back on the road. Very glad that we'll get another chance next week against most of the same teams to close out the semester the right way."
