JOHN THOMAS TERRIER CLASSIC RESULTS | SOUTH ALABAMA INDOOR INVITATIONAL RESULTS
BOSTON/BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Lee University men's track & field team competed in two separate meets this weekend. Eight Flames traveled to Boston for the 2025 John Thomas Terrier Classic at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center on Saturday before placing fifth out of 14 teams at the South Alabama Indoor Invitational on Sunday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Lee collected 36 points to claim the top finish among non-Division I teams. South Alabama placed first with 121.5 points. Samford was second (100), Southern Mississippi (68) finished third and Alcorn State (41) was fourth.
Edimo Ninteretse and Pierre Chauveau highlighted Lee's trip to Boston with a pair of NCAA Division II provisional qualifying times in the 5000-meter run. Ninteretse stopped the clock at 13:59.52 to place 54
th and Chauveau crossed the line at 14:21.97 for 75
th. Both times met the provisional standard of 14:23.96. Jon Fielding Stogner just missed with a time of 14:27.41.
Ryan Lovelace placed 71
st in the mile with a time of 4:08.04. The time was under the provisional standard of 4:08.81 but did not improve on his mark of 4:03.97 recorded at Vanderbilt on January 17. Caleb Guthery finished 81
st (4:09.62) and Evan Moore was 155
th (4:20.29).
Moore also finished 25
th in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.49. Aaron Himes completed the 3000-meter run at 8:19.33 for 75
th place.
Luke Gaddis and Tal Old finished in the top eight of the 5000 at the South Alabama Indoor Invitational. Gaddis was second with a time of 14:57.34 and Old was eighth (15:37.01). Stephen Mattis placed 11
th in the mile (4:29.62).
Eli Cobble, Aiden Shaw and Cooper Giddens were all part of the 400-meter dash where Cobble finished fifth with a time of 49.17 seconds. Shaw (49.64) was 12
th and Giddens (51.26) placed 23
rd.
Shaw joined Nokia Masengue in the 200-meter dash. Shaw covered the distance in 22.21 seconds for 14
th, while Masengu's time of 22.29 seconds put him in 19
th. Isaac Iosia placed 11
th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.67 seconds.
The 4x400 relay team of Cobble, Shaw, Gidden and Masengu were third with a combined time of 3:18.95.
Stephen Clark was the winner of the 800-meter run. He finished the race at 1:54.81. Owen Pearce (1:57.24) was eighth and Parker Campbell (1:58.16) placed 12
th. In the 3000, Xian Campbell placed fourth (8:24.91) and Elijah Moran (8:33.95) was ninth.
Carrington Tate recorded a mark of 15.88 meters to finish ninth in the weight throw. Tate also finished 17
th in the shot put with a throw of 11.63 meters. Carter Duncan joined Tate in the shot put and placed 20
th with a measurement of 10.76 meters.
Jacob Salters and Cameron Stine were Lee's representatives in the long jump. Salters covered 6.08 meters to claim 19
th place and Stine was 21
st with a mark of 6.06 meters.
