JOHN THOMAS TERRIER CLASSIC RESULTS | SOUTH ALABAMA INDOOR INVITATIONAL RESULTS
BOSTON/BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Lee University women's track & field team competed in two separate meets this weekend. Five Lady Flames traveled to Boston for the 2025 John Thomas Terrier Classic at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center on Friday before placing fifth out of 14 teams at the South Alabama Indoor Invitational on Sunday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Lee collected 81 points to claim the top finish among non-Division I teams. Southern Mississippi was first with 116.333 points. Troy (106) placed second, Samford (91) was third and South Alabama finished fourth (84.8333).
All together the Lee women collected five new NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks. Liz Lannom led the way by hitting on two provisional standards, while Katie Beam, Graice Waite and Lily Hare did so in one event each.
Lannom placed fourth in the 60-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 7.56 seconds to eclipse the qualifying time of 7.63 seconds. She added another provisional time in the 200-meter dash where she finished at 24.50 seconds to beat the necessary time of 24.73 seconds.
Beam finished first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.87. The time to beat for qualifying was 2:13.89. Waite finished the top performances on Sunday with a throw of 13.73 meters in the shot put. The mark topped the qualifying distance of 13.67 and set a new Lee record. Deborah Rubin held the previous record at 13.21 meters for nearly two years.
In Boston, Hare completed the 800-meter run at 2:12.81 to place 43
rd and secure a provisional mark. Hare just missed the mark in the mile by 1.35 seconds with a time of 4:56.99. The time needed was 4:55.64.
Aria Hawkins and Megan Adams took on the 3000-meter run on Friday. Hawkins once again finished ahead of the provisional mark of 9:53.07, but her 37
th-place time of 9:22.99 didn't beat her top time of 9:19.54 she posted on December 7. Adams placed 86
th with a time of 9:53.34. Ana Patricia Campos was the final Lady Flame to run in Boston. She finished 41
st after stopping the clock at 17:18.75.
Lyndi Chapman and Karis Kelley ran the 5000 in the South Alabama Invitational. Chapman's time of 18:01.88 was the event's top time, while Kelley finished sixth at 19:32.84.
Ashlyn Iliff and Kaylee Estridge were two of the top three in the mile. Iliff finished second (5:05.36) and Estridge was third (5:14.92). Emily Liddle completed the circuit at 5:18.08 for sixth. Iliff also grabbed a seventh-place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:20.46.
Maddox Mayfield was 12
th in the 400-meter dash at 58.95 seconds. Sydney White was 14
th (59.56). Delphine Dah was 30
th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.42 seconds. In the 60-meter hurdles Ana Peasley finished ninth at 8.93, while Lily Brown was 26
th (9.63).
Mayfield and Dah were also in the 200-meter dash. Mayfield was 23
rd (26.76) and Dah (27.49) was 29
th. The 4x400 relay team of White, Lannom, Brown and Mayfield placed third with a combined time of 3:59.78.
Katie Krueger and Zoe Arrington were Lee's representatives in the 3000-meter run. Krueger placed third at 9:57.20 and Arrington was 13
th (11:13.57).
Joining Waite in the shot put were Samara Brinks and Olivia Davidson. Brinks finished eighth with a throw of 11.36 meters and Davidson was 12
th with a mark of 10.25 meters. Brinks claimed an eighth-place finish with a measurement of 14.92 meters in the weight throw. Waite was 11
th with a mark of 14.10 meters and Davidson's throw of 11.42 meters put her in 19
th.
Jydia Faucette covered 5.10 meters to finish 15
th in the long jump. White was 24
th with a leap of 4.67 meters. Faucette's best triple jump distance of 10.61 meters put her in eighth position.
In the pole vault, Brynn Depinet placed second with a height of 3.65 meters. Lannom cleared 1.64 meters to finish fifth in the high jump and Liezl Theron was sixth with a successful clearance of 1.59 meters.
