Lady Flames Record Two Provisional Marks at Lee University Invitational

Jydia Faucette placed second in the 100-meter Dash and fifth in the 200 this weekend.
RESULTS

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Lee University women's track & field team opened its outdoor season hosting the Lee University Invitational this weekend at the Ray Conn Sports Complex. There was no team scoring for the two-day event, but the Lady Flames recorded two NCAA Division II Provisional Qualifying marks.

Ana Patricia Campos and Lily Hare met the standard of 16:59.79 in the 5000-meter Run. Campos was first in the race at 16:43.40 and Hare was third with a time of 15:52.59.

Katie Krueger placed sixth (18:07.83) in the 5000 and Lyndi Chapman (18:21.78) was eighth. Karis Kelley was 13th at 18:54.94, Kaylee Estridge (19:00.53) finished 16th and Emily Liddle (19:09.44) crossed the line in 18th.

Jydia Faucette collected a second-place finish after stopping the clock at 12.29 seconds in the 100-meter Dash. In the 200-meter Dash, Maddox Mayfield finished second with a time of 25.18 seconds. Faucette (25.47) was fifth and Ane Peasley placed 25th (27.76). Peasley added a sixth-place finish in the 100-meter Hurdles with a time of 15.97 seconds.

Estella Clemons led two other Lady Flames to the finish line of the 800-meter Run. Clemons won the event with a time of 2:13.37. Katie Beam was close behind in second (2:13.78) and Abi Moore was sixth (2:18.83).

Beam added a fourth-place finish with a time of 4:41.07 in the 1500-meter Run. Moore was seventh (4:47.08) and Ashlyn Iliff (4:49.59) posted a ninth-place finish.

Brynn Depinet and Nicole Counter claimed the top two spots in the Pole Vault. Depinet cleared 3.65 meters for first place and Counter grabbed second with a mark of 3.50 meters.

Gracie Waite, Samara Brinks and Olivia Davidson competed in the Shot Put. Waite placed third with a mark of 12.32 meters. Brinks finished fifth with a measurement of 11.19 meters and Davidson was 10th with a spot of 10.37 meters.

The trio also were Lee's representatives in the Hammer. Brinks was third with a mark of 45.38 meters and Waite was fourth at 43.08 meters. Davidson's throw of 34.42 meters put her in 10th. Waite won the Discus with a throw of 41.93 meters.

Davidson led Lee in the Javelin with a fourth-place throw of 31.58 meters. Waite was fifth with a mark of 30.39 meters and Brinks finished 10th with a distance of 26.59 meters.

Liz Lannom and Sydney White tallied the two highest point totals in the Heptathlon. Lannom won the event with 4,452 points and White was second at 4,397 points.

The Lady Flames continue the outdoor season with a trip to Raleigh, N.C., next weekend for the Raleigh Relays. The meet is scheduled to run from Thursday through Saturday.
