PUEBLO, Colo. – Ten Lee University Track & Field athletes have made the trip and are less than 24 hours away from the beginning of the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The three days of competition run from Thursday, May 22, through Saturday, May 24, at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.
Lily Hare and Estella Clemons are scheduled to be the first to hit the track at 7:10 p.m. ET on Thursday. Hare is one of the 11 runners in the first of the two heats of the 1500-meter preliminaries with Clemons set to run in the second heat. The top four of each heat, plus the next four best times will advance to the finals on Saturday.
Jacob Hatcher and Evan Moore will follow right after the women's 1500 in the men's 1500 preliminary. Both athletes are part of the first of two heats with advancement to the finals the same as the women.
Stephen Clark and Luke Gaddis are in separate heats of the 3000-meter steeplechase. Clark has been placed in the first heat with Gaddis in the second. The top four of each heat and the next four best times advance to Friday's final.
Ana Patricia Campos will complete the first day of competition for Lee University. She is part of the field of 22 in the finals of the 10,000-meter run. Campos enters the championships with the ninth-best qualifying time in the event.
Liezl Theron begins Lee's competition schedule on Friday at 6:45 p.m. in the high jump. She is one of 10 competitors tied with a seed mark of 1.73 meters. The top seed is Rachel Wilson of Pittsburg State with a mark of 1.85 meters.
Brynn Depinet will finally see action on Saturday in the pole vault. She is tied for 15
th with a seed mark of 3.97 meters. Brynn King of Roberts Wesleyan is the top seed at 4.75 meters.
Edimo Ninteretse is the last Lee athlete scheduled to compete. He was the final selection for the 5000-meter run which will be contested Saturday evening.
