Wick Earns Second Straight GSC Freshman of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the second straight week, Lee University freshman Tucker Wick was named the Gulf South Conference freshman of the week. It is the first time since the spring of 2021 that the Flames have had a golfer win freshman of the week in back-to-back week. It was Oliver Lewis-Perkins in 2021 that last received the honor.

Wick shot a 213 (69-71-73) to come in tied for fourth place at the Dunning Invitational. WIck helped the Flames win the invitational by shooting a 843 which was 36 strokes better than Lee's second team. Team B shot a 879 to finish in second place which was three strokes better than host school Delta State University who came in third with an 882.

The Flames will now prepare for the Copperhead Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla. in October.
