Coach Geandra Almeida's Thoughts:
""I'm really proud of this group, the fight they showed, and the adjustments they made throughout the week. I truly believe we are so close to taking that next step as a team. We were in contention for much of the tournament, which was encouraging to see against such a strong field. While the way we finished the first two rounds was disappointing, one thing I love about this group is their willingness to learn, make adjustments, and keep getting better. The way we responded and finished the final round today was great to see. I'm proud of how we continue to embrace every opportunity to grow and keep pushing forward.
I'm also incredibly proud of Justine for earning her first collegiate victory against the strongest field we've faced this fall! She put together three outstanding rounds and broke her personal 54-hole scoring record by seven shots, which makes this first win even more special. She works incredibly hard, and it's so rewarding to see that dedication pay off in such a big way. I couldn't be happier for her! Her performance is a great reminder of what's possible when you believe in yourself, trust the work you've put in, and keep competing. It's the kind of performance that inspires our entire group to keep working hard and getting better together."
