BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Two Lee University lacrosse players earned their first awards of the season as announced by the Gulf South Conference on Tuesday. Taylor McGovern earned her first ever GSC Player of the Week award while Lanie Carroll was named the GSC Freshman of the Week for the first time.

In two games this week Taylor McGovern had nine goals, 14 shots, 10 shots on goal and three groundballs. She dominated Emmanuel University with eight goals and led Lee to a 22-11 win.
 
Lanie Carroll had five goals this week. All five came against Emmanuel. She had 10 shots, eight on goal, five ground balls and one caused turnover.
