The Lee University men's track & field team scored 149 points on the final day of competition to pull away from the field and win their fourth Gulf South Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship. The Flames claimed four individual championships on Friday and finished with 213 points. UAH placed second with 148 points and Mississippi College was third with 121 points.
As a result of his performance over the two days of competition, Pierre Chauveau was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer. Timothy Doolittle was named the Champion Scholar-Athlete.
The Lee University women's track & field team scored 147.5 points on the final day of competition to pull away from the field and win their seventh consecutive Gulf South Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship. The Lady Flames claimed six individual championships on Friday and finished with 239.5 points. UAH placed second with 176.16 points and Mississippi College was third with 114.5 points.
As a result of their performances over the two days of competition, Liz Lannom was named the Most Outstanding Overall Performer and Aria Hawkins was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer.
