PENSACOLA, Fla.– Despite making the same amount of field goals in the contest, the Lee University men's basketball team came up four points short to the University of West Florida on Saturday. The Flames fell 68-64 in a game where both teams made 25 field goals. Lee was 25-of-65 while UWF was 25-of-60. The Flames dropped their second straight game and fell to 10-11 overall and 7-10 in Gulf South Conference action.
The Argos outscored Lee 34-25 in the first half while the Flames had the 39-34 edge in the second half. The Flames were only 3-of-24 from long range while the Argos 4-of-13 from the three-point arc.
Lee had four three games in double figures with Dayveun Anderson leading the way. He had 14 points and five assists. Zach Gray had 13 points, and Tylon Chatman had ten points. Willie Walton had 11 rebounds and Tim Vaughn had nine.
The Argos also had three players in double figures. Eric Wyche had 16 points and nine rebounds. Tim Hall Jr. had 12 points and Aric Demmings had 15 points.
Lee will have a week to practice before they host Trevecca Nazarene University on Valentine's Day.
