BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the second time this season, Cody Turner has been named the Gulf South Conference player of the week. The Lee University baseball junior was in three different positions this week. He was the designated hitter, played first base, and pitched this week as the Flames went 3-1.

Turner hit .667 this week in four games. He was 10-for-15 with a triple and two home run. He slugged 1.200 with ten RBI and seven runs scored. He was walked four times and only struck out once. He had six putouts on defense. He also had a win on the mound. He threw one and one-third innings with two strikeouts. He did not give up a run or a hit.
