BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After helping lead the Lee University men's tennis team to wins over Carson Newman University and the University of West Alabama, Francisco Guimarães was named the Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week. It is the second time this season he has earned the award.

Against Carson Newman, he won #3 doubles 6-0 and #4 singles 7-5, 6-1. Against UWA, he won #3 doubles 6-4 and #5 singles 6-7, 6-2, 7-6.

The Flames wrap up the regular season this week hosting Auburn University Montgomery and the University of Montevallo.
