NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For the first time this season the #9 Lee University women's soccer team dropped a contest. The Flames allowed a goal from Trevecca Nazarene University in the 89
th minute to fall 1-0. It is the first time in program history that Lee lost to the Trojans.
Lee dominated the stat line in the game but could not find the back of the net. Lee took 17 shots with eight on goal while TNU only had seven shots with four on goal. Penelope Charroin for Trevecca made eight saves in goal while Abby Whitcomb made three saves for Lee.
Megan Davis and Emma Nelson each had three shots with two on frame for the Flames. The lone goal for the Trojans came off of a free kick. Christina Escudero had a free kick and when she cross it into the box, Katie Purvis found the back of the net.
Audrey O'Meara had a yellow card for Lee while Trevecca had three cards.
Lee will return home on Saturday, September 26 at 1 PM as they will host Mississippi Christian University.
