Alejandro Bejar enters his second year as a graduate assistant for the Lee tennis teams.

“Alejandro has been a tremendous asset to our program.  It’s no coincidence that both teams had a fantastic year in 18-19.  He brings great enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to getting the most out of our players.  I’m excited to see what he will bring to our teams in 2019-20.”

"I am thrilled to have Alejandro with us," added Hynes. "He had a brilliant career at Presbyterian College playing for a couple of the best young coaches going around. As a player he was part of a program that won its first ever Division I conference championship for any sport in school history. On top of that, he achieved a stellar GPA and represented his school with class.”

Bejar played for four years at Presbyterian College and posted a career record of 61-35. His win total is the second-most in program history. As a freshman in 2015, he went 24-2 to set the Presbyterian singles record with 24 wins in the season and a winning percentage of .923.

The native of Madrid, Spain, earned the designation of Team MVP as a freshman and was Player of the Year across the Presbyterian Athletic Department following his sophomore year. He was part of the 2017 Blue Hose squad that captured the school's first Big South Tournament Title in any sport and advanced to the first round of the NCAA Division I Championship to face the University of Texas.

Bejar was one of the team's co-captains his senior season. He served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for three years and was president of the Business club his senior year. He graduated with a 3.6 GPA in Business Administration and has entered Lee's Master of Business Administration program.
