Mark Scannell is in his first season as the Graduate Assistant Coach with the Lee Baseball program. He will work with pitching coach Andrew Elliott and the Lee pitching staff.
Scannell grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduate from Grand Valley State University in 2022 with a B.B.A. in Supply Chain Management. He Graduated from Kellogg Community College in 2019 with an associates degree in General Studies
He was 18-4 record as a starting pitcher across both schools. Sophomore year lead the Kellogg Community College Bruins to their seventh NJCAA D2 World Series appearance with a 1.72 season ERA. Named to the all conference and all region teams in 2019.
In 2021 at Grand Valley State University (GVSU), Scannell tossed 50 innings with a 5-0 record and 2.16 season ERA earning ABCA/Rawling Midwest All-Region Team Honors, as well as being named All-Conference.
In addition to his collegiate career, Scannell played on season in the Northwoods Summer Collegiate League for the Traverse City Pit Spitters.
Scannell is currently pursuing an MBA at the Lee University School of Business.
