The recipient of the AAC Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2021, he helped lead the Bryan Lions to back-to-back AAC Regular Season Championships (2020-2021) and AAC Conference Tournament Champions in 2021. Shadoan primarily worked with Bryan’s setters, pin hitters, and middle blockers, and assisted in coaching setters/hitters.

A member of Bryan’s men’s volleyball team (2013-17), Shadoan was primarily a setter/middle hitter and co-captain of the team during his junior and senior season. He graduated from Bryan in 2018 with an Undergraduate B.S. in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Elementary Education and later received his M.B.A. from Bryan, specializing in Sports Management.

“We are excited to have Nate Shadoan join our staff,” said Coach Tabisz. “He brings an excellent energy to the gym, extensive knowledge of the game, and has proven he can help athletes succeed on and off the court. Nate will have a large role in recruiting and scouting for the Lady Flames as well as developing our middle blockers and defenders. He will be a first-class representation of what we desire our program to be like here at Lee.”

Said Coach Shadoan, “I am so excited to work under Coach Tabisz’s leadership and assist her in creating the team dynamics, expectations, and environments to see our athletes flourish, grow, and compete at their highest level. Being a student of the game, I constantly strive to learn new strategies and systems.”
