Peyton Sliger has been named the Lee University Male Athlete of the Week after finishing in the top five and being named to the all-tournament team at the Nationa Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championship in Panama City Beach, Fla.

The junior shot a 222 in the 54-hole tournament to finish in fourth place in the individual competition. Sliger recorded a 75 in the opening round and bounced back with a 2-under par 70 in round two. The Maryville native finished the championship with a final round 77 on the par-72 Hombre Golf Course.

Sliger and the Lee men's golf team finished the tournament in fourth place to wrap up the fall season. The Flames ended with three tournament victories out of the five they participated in including a 15-stroke victory at the TVA North Alabama Credit Union Classic against a field of top NCAA II programs.
