Lee baseball player Ben Holland has been named Lee University's Male Athlete of the Week after a productive weekend at the plate during a three-game road series with West Alabama.

Holland, a junior-transfer from Motlow State Community College, went 5-for-12 with six RBI and three runs scored as the Flames took 1-of-3 from the Tigers.

The native of Murfressboro, Tenn. went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs as Lee defeated West Alabama, 12-6 in game two of Saturday's twin bill. 

Holland continued to swing the bat well on Sunday as he tallied two singles and drove in two more runs in the series finale. The Flames came up just short falling 10-9 to the Tigers as the home team battled back from two runs down in the bottom of the eighth.

Holland and the Flames will host the University of Indianapolis for a two-game series on Tuesday and Wednesday before getting back into conference action with a three-game weekend series against Mississippi College.
