Junior Adrian Martin has been named Lee University's Female Athlete of the Week following her performance this past weekend at the UCS Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Martin participated in the 60 and 200 meter dashes. She finished 0.03 seconds behind her season-best 7.72 seconds in the 60 meter dash at the KMS Invitational on Jan. 31. That time is a provisional qualifying time for the NCAA nationals.

Martin won her section of the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.36. It was the sixth-fastest time of the meet.

"Adrian had a great race in the 200 meter," said head coach Caleb Morgan. "She won her section by a large margin. Hopefully her time will hold up and qualify her for nationals."

The Lady Flames will take a smal group to the 2016 George Mason Last Chance Meet in Fairfax, Va., on Feb. 28 in hunt of a few more provisional qualifiers in the final regular season indoor meet.
