Junior outside hitter Brooke Wilsman has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week after an impressive showing this past weekend at the Bash at the Beach Tournament hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic.

Wilsman shined in the Lady Flames final match of the weekend as she recorded a career-high 20 slams on a .308 hitting perecentage to go along with 15 digs to lead Lee over Bridgeport, 3-1.

The Lakeland, Fla. native had 36 kills in the four matches and 37 digs. Lee lost to No. 3 Palm Beach Atlantic, 3-0 and Embry Riddle, 3-1 before taking down Florida Tech, 3-0 and Bridgeport.

Wilsman and the Lady Flames will enter the Gulf South Conference portion of the schedule with two tough matches this weekend. On Friday Lee hosts Alabama Huntsville at 7 p.m. and on Saturday it will welcomes defending conference champion North Alabama to the Sport Court at 2 p.m.
