Lee men's soccer junior Drew Jackson has been named the Lee University Male Athlete of the Week after scoring two goals including the game winner in Sunday's 3-2 victory over Anderson University.

In one of the most thrilling finishes you'll ever see the Flames delivered Head Coach Derek Potteiger his first Lee victory on Jackson's buzzer-beating goal with just 4.9 seconds left on the clock to stun the Trojans.

Freshman Jared McWhorter set up the decisive score on a perfectly placed long ball off into the box and right to the feet of Jackson.

"I was exhausted but I was just trying to get myself in position in the center of field and Jared played a great ball to me and luckily I was able to finish it off," noted Jackson after the match. "We are just really happy to give coach Potteiger his first win today."

Jackson and the Flames will now host a pair of ranked teams in No. 13 Palm Beach Atlantic on Thursday and No. 11 Young Harris on Tuesday. Both matches will kickoff at 7 p.m.
