Colton Blevins has been named the Lee University Male Athlete of the Week after helping the Flames improve to a perfect 6-0 in the Gulf South Conference and stretch their winning streak to eight games overall.

Blevins, a versatile forward from Jamestown, Tenn., led the Flames to road victories over Trevecca Nazarene (Dec. 31), Union (Jan. 3) and Christian Brothers (Jan. 5) . The junior scored 20 points and had five rebounds in a win over the Trojans. He added 15 points as Lee took down Union last Thursday and posted 17 on 8 of 11 shooting in a victory over the Bucs on Saturday.

Blevins is averaging 13.9 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per contest. He makes the most of his touches as he is shooting 55.9 percent from the field.

The Flames will look to extend their winning streak and remain unbeaten in the GSC as they welcome West Georgia to town on Thursday at 8 p.m. and Alabama Huntsville on Saturday at 4 p.m.
