Debbie Rogers has been named Lee University's Female Athlete of the Week after a stellar performance in the Lady Flames 2-1 victory at (NAIA) No. 1-ranked Lindsey Wilson last Thursday evening.

The Orlando, Fla. native provided two great services to set up both of the Lee goals. The first score came via an own goal by the Blue Raiders after Rogers delivered a beautiful ball into the box. The deciding goal came on a corner kick by Rogers that led to Danielle Ciabattone's game winner.

"Debbie (Rogers) put in an excellent performance tonight. She provided great service and did a great job defensively against their creative players in midfield," noted coach Matt Yelton.

Rogers and the Lady Flames will now gear up to host their first Gulf South Conference match on Wednesdsay when they welcome West Georgia to the Lee Soccer Field. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
